I've been reading about Ruth Ann Leamon's case, and something that really stands out to me is the timing of her last whereabouts. She supposedly left her guardian's house around 8:45 PM, but the guardian didn't realize she was missing until the next morning. It just got me thinking about how crucial that time frame might be. If the two men she planned to meet were questioned, did they have any alibis for that night? How thoroughly were they looked into? Also, I've seen a lot about her being connected to the "Speed Freak Killers." I know Herzog was in the area, but has anyone found any tangible links or patterns in their known crimes that might suggest their involvement? It's such a long span of time for someone to vanish unnoticed—were there any other witnesses in the area that night who might have seen Ruth or those men? It's all so puzzling, and it feels like those nighttime hours hold answers that have slipped through the cracks. Just throwing it out there for discussion in case anyone might have similar thoughts or some insight on the investigation timeline.

Does anyone else find it strange how little information we have about what Ruth Ann Leamon was doing at Sam’s Food City the night she vanished? I can’t help but wonder what their CCTV situation was like back in 1982. Did the store have any cameras that could have captured who Ruth interacted with that evening or if she left with someone? It’s 40+ years later, and I know technology wasn't anywhere near what it is now, but even a few blurry photos could have provided significant leads at the time. Maybe some locals remember more about the store's layout or security measures during that period? Just seems like such a pivotal location in this case that's left with too many unknowns.
