I was recently re-reading details of the Reeves Johnson case and something about the grocery purchases caught my attention. The checks he wrote for groceries that bounced – does anyone know if the items bought were those he'd typically purchase, or was it a bunch of random stuff? It seems odd because if someone was pretending to be him, maybe they got a few details wrong. Like, if they bought a ton of dog food and Reeves didn't even have a pet, that might be a clue, right? Just wondering if this has ever been looked into more deeply.
Has anyone ever looked into the possibility that Reeves had a hidden second life or was involved in something secret? I know it sounds out there, but hear me out. The fact that his bank account got used after he disappeared makes me wonder if someone close to him was involved or if he was living a double life. What if the person collecting his paycheck knew him personally? The purchases of groceries and stereo equipment could suggest someone either trying to live under the radar or setting up a new identity. It's strange that none of his possessions were left at the cabin, almost like he was erasing himself. Maybe there's a connection to someone he worked with at Donnelly Manufacturing? I’m interested to know if anyone else has thoughts on this angle or if it's been explored by investigators.
Hey everyone,
I've been digging into Reeves Johnson's case, and something that stands out to me is the part about the Volkswagen Beetle. Does anyone here have more information on the mechanic or shop where the car was taken for repairs? It seems odd that someone would go through the trouble of taking a car to the shop and then just leave it there without paying. Could it be a clue or a red herring? Maybe the shop or mechanic noticed something unusual or had more interactions with whoever brought the car in. Anyone have any connections in New Hampshire who could offer more insights or perhaps even locate some old records?
Also, for those who've looked into this before, were there any similar cases in the area around that time that might connect to Reeves' disappearance? Just trying to piece together any possible leads. Thanks for any help you can offer!
