I've been following Mitchell Owens' case, and something that's really been bothering me is the initial mishandling of the investigation. I can't wrap my head around why a 4-year-old would be classified as a runaway. It baffles me and makes me wonder how many other cases were similarly mislabeled, potentially impacting the timeliness and effectiveness of the investigations. It’s frustrating to think about the crucial time that was lost because of this mistake. Does anyone know if there were any procedural changes in response to this, either locally or nationally? It’s haunting to consider the “what ifs” in these situations.

I've been following the Mitchell Owens case and something about the whole scenario seems really off to me. I keep circling back to the fact that Mitchell was initially listed as a runaway. How does that even happen to a 4-year-old? It seems almost impossible for such a critical mistake to occur, and I can't help but wonder if precious time was lost because of it. Also, it's bizarre how Ora received those threatening calls afterward. Could it have been just a random sick prank, or is there a deeper connection to someone who was involved in Mitchell's disappearance? It bothers me that there were multiple suspects initially but years later, nothing substantial has come from those leads. You'd think there would be some kind of break after all this time. And was enough done to re-examine those early suspects with today's technology and methods? Feeling super frustrated by how this case has gone cold. What are your thoughts, especially on how the police handled things early on?
