I was reading about Vernon Johnson's case, and it pains me to think about how his family must feel all these years later with no answers. Cold case investigations rely so heavily on community involvement, yet it seems like a lot of people are hesitant to come forward—whether due to fear or thinking their information isn't valuable. Every piece of information could be the one that breaks the case open. The thought that someone out there might have even a small detail that could help and hasn't shared it yet is unsettling. I genuinely hope people understand how important it is to speak up, even if it seems insignificant. Oklahoma City Police have a dedicated cold case unit, and I'm sure they're waiting for that one crucial tip that could provide some long-awaited justice for Vernon and peace for his loved ones. Let's continue to talk about his story so it's not forgotten and keep encouraging anyone with info to reach out to the authorities. Justice might be just around the corner with the right lead.
