Hey everyone, I was recently reading through some of the older cases and stumbled upon Cynthia Lorraine Perry's disappearance from 1985. There's a detail that's been sticking with me, and I wonder if anyone else finds it curious. After Cynthia left the group home, she made a call to her mom saying she was safe and would come back once she turned 18. It's got me thinking—why set a specific timeline like that? Was there someone out there who promised her something, or maybe she just felt safer being away? The group home situation seems like it was tense, but her call hints at a plan or person she trusted. It's just speculation, but it seems like there might be more to this than the runaway angle that's been suggested. Anyone have thoughts on what might have prompted this assurance to her mom? Maybe someone else remembers details I'm missing.
