There has to be relatives of this little girl out there they can run that DNA from the girl they found. Why don't they do that?

Hey everyone,
I’ve been following Cherie Nicole Barnes’ case, and something that caught my attention is the suitcase found in Kentucky in 1989. I can't get over how it might be connected to Cherie's disappearance. Larry mentioned his relatives taking care of her under a different name, but with so many years passing and the lack of DNA testing back then, I can’t help but wonder if enough has been done to exhaust this lead.
It's chilling to think about, especially when we consider the timeline and geographical proximity. Has there ever been a push for re-examining that suitcase case with today's technology? Maybe someone here knows if there’s been any recent progress on this angle. It just feels like there might be a missing piece that could bring some clarity, even after all these years. Any thoughts or updates anyone might have would be appreciated.
