I’ve been following the discussion around the tragic events at the Villas on Yorktown Apartments and can’t help but think about the impact on the community. It’s so unsettling to think about how life changed so drastically for everyone involved in just an instant. I feel especially for the residents who have to live with the reality of the violence on their doorstep. It’s a reminder of how vulnerable we all are and how quickly things can turn. Does anyone know if there have been any efforts in the neighborhood to address safety concerns since this incident? It would be comforting to know that something positive is being done in light of such a devastating event.
