I can't stop thinking about how senseless this tragedy is, and how it's affecting Erlin Pereira's loved ones. It's hard to understand what drives young people, just 15 and 17 years old, to commit such a violent act. It seems like this could have been avoided. I really hope that Pereira’s family is getting the support they need during this incredibly difficult time. It must be devastating for them to deal with such a sudden loss, while also living with the realization that two teenagers are responsible. Violence at such a young age is deeply troubling and raises so many questions about what’s going wrong in society. Sending all my thoughts to his family and hoping for some kind of justice and peace for them.
