Has anyone else noticed how crucial that muddy footprint could be in the Spangle/Fagot case? It seems like a huge piece of evidence, but I don't recall hearing much about any follow-up on it. Was it ever matched to a specific shoe or person? With everything else left behind in the apartment, that footprint could be a major clue. I'm curious if it led investigators to any person of interest back in '89 or if it's just another dead-end detail in this tragic disappearance. Anyone have any insights or updates?

I was looking into the case of Daniel Stephen Spangle and Denise Ruth Fagot, and something that stands out to me is the muddy footprint on top of the air conditioning unit. It seems like an odd place for a footprint unless someone was trying to gain access to the apartment from outside. I wonder if the print was ever matched to anyone or if it was documented properly back then. Given the time and circumstances, collecting and preserving evidence might have been challenging. Does anyone know if modern techniques have ever been applied to revisit this evidence, or if there was ever any update on this aspect? I can't help but feel that this could have been a crucial clue if it led anywhere. The fact that their car was left untouched makes the whole situation even more puzzling, don’t you think?

This case continues to haunt me, and I always find myself thinking about that morning Denise and baby Daniel went missing. It just seems so strange that Denise's boyfriend was the last to see them before she vanished. I wonder if he noticed anything unusual when he left? Also, what about Denise's sister? She arrived just two hours later. Could she have walked in and interrupted something? It's terrifying to think about what might have happened in that short window of time. Was anyone else in the apartment complex questioned? Neighbors might’ve heard or seen something. I believe every little detail matters when trying to piece together that day. It’s so hard to imagine them just disappearing without a trace with the sliding door forced like that. I hope someone remembers something after all these years.
