Hey everyone, I was just revisiting some old cases and came across the mysterious story of David Michael Borer. What really caught my attention was how independent David was at such a young age. I mean, the kid hitchhiked 40 miles to Wasilla once! It leaves me wondering if his adventurous spirit played a part in his disappearance. I read that his scent was tracked by dogs to the Parks Highway, and then nothing. Given the sparse population and the rugged landscape around Willow back in 1989, could it be possible that he might have hitched a ride with someone? Who knows who was traveling that highway at the time, especially when it was so much quieter than it is today. It's chilling to think about how something so seemingly normal for him could have led to him vanishing without a trace. I'd love to hear what you all think about this angle. Maybe someone local has more insight into the area, or if there were any unusual incidents reported around that time on the Parks Highway.
