Hi everyone,
I've been following Oded Gordon's case and something that sticks out to me is the last bit about him possibly trying to get back to New York. Do we have any credible reports or interviews with people who might have given Oded a ride further than just the donut shop? Also, thinking about the timeline, how did searchers react once the dogs lost the scent on Route 31? Was there any effort to put out a broader alert or canvass the areas where he allegedly was sighted?
Living with autism and having scoliosis, Oded was facing challenges that someone without could never fully understand. It's so concerning to think of him out there with no way to communicate or get help. If he did get a hitchhike ride, it's possible that the driver didn't realize Oded's needs. People traveling across state lines back then wouldn't have been as easy to track. I'd be interested if the investigation checked any further into transportation records or toll booth checks at that time.
I've always wondered if people in and around Fitchburg might have seen him but didn’t realize it at the time. Even after all these years, are there platforms or callouts anyone knows of that might jog memories or bring new eyes to old tips?
Thanks for any insight on these thoughts!
Hey everyone, I've been following Oded Gordon's case for a bit, and I can't help but wonder about the lack of confirmed sightings. In cases involving missing persons with developmental disabilities, it seems vital to look at how their unique needs might affect their ability to navigate the world.
Specifically for Oded, considering his difficulty in communication and scoliosis, I find it odd that more definitive sightings haven't been nailed down. If he ended up hitchhiking, as some leads suggest, perhaps there's a chance he was unable to communicate where he wanted to go or who he was.
I'm curious if the community he was living in had any partnerships with local transit or community services that could've been leveraged to aid in tracking his movements. From what I understand, some communities have outreach programs for individuals with developmental disabilities that could sometimes overlap with transit services.
Has anyone else come across cases where local services played a part in tracking someone down? What else could be done in terms of engaging local businesses to keep a lookout? It just feels like if his potential whereabouts are in such a focused area, more could be done to establish concrete details. Thoughts?
