Just stumbled across Mary's case while digging through some old missing persons reports. It's puzzling to learn that she wasn’t reported missing until 2009, a whole 20 years after she was last seen. Does anyone know why it took so long for her disappearance to be officially reported? It seems like that delay could have hindered any chance of following up on potential leads. I understand family dynamics can be complex, but it’s really baffling how something like this happens. Given the lack of concrete evidence, I’m curious what others think about the possible connection to Anthony Sowell. Was she ever officially considered as linked to his cases, or is it all speculation at this point?

I've been following Mary Cox's case for a while, and something that's always puzzled me is how someone could go missing from a public place like McCall's Lounge without anyone noticing anything unusual. It's such a busy environment, especially for a bartender who presumably interacted with lots of people nightly. Were there any coworkers or patrons who noticed if something was off with Mary in the days leading up to her last shift? It's baffling to me that it took 20 years for her to be reported missing—did no one, not even coworkers, think to sound an alarm earlier? Maybe someone who used to frequent McCall's back in '89 might remember something, even if it seems insignificant. Sometimes the smallest details can help piece things together.

Does anyone else find it strange that Mary Cox wasn't reported missing until 20 years after she disappeared? I can't imagine what was happening during that time. I read somewhere that her family wasn't in contact with her regularly, but it seems odd to me that no one noticed for so long. It's like she vanished into thin air, and then, suddenly, two decades later, people start asking questions. The delay must have been incredibly frustrating for the investigators, not to mention the missed chances for finding out what happened to her in those early days. If anyone knows more about why it took so long, I'd be really interested to hear it. It's such a puzzling case that raises so many questions about what was going on in her life at that time.
