Hey everyone, I recently came across Tiwana Denise Cheatham's case from 1989. Something that caught my attention was the arrest of her grandmother for obstructing justice not long after Tiwana disappeared. It's odd, right? The fact that she wasn't considered a suspect makes me wonder what exactly led to that arrest. Did she withhold information unintentionally, or was there something deeper at play? And given that it happened just two weeks after Tiwana vanished, you’d think it might have led to some breakthroughs, but it seems like it didn't help resolve anything.
For those familiar with the case, has there been any more information released regarding the grandmother's involvement or any new investigative paths related to that angle? It feels like such a strange twist, especially in a case that's been cold for so long. If anyone has more insights, it would be great to discuss it further!
Has anyone else looked into the significance of Tiwana's grandmother being arrested for obstructing justice? It's always puzzled me why she got caught up in this case when she wasn't even considered a suspect. Could it have been a misunderstanding or did she know something that she perhaps tried to cover up for some reason? Also, why exactly wasn't she looked at as a suspect if they arrested her for obstructing justice? It feels like there’s more to this angle that hasn’t been fully explored. I know family dynamics can be really complex, but having a family member arrested so soon after Tiwana's disappearance seems like a big piece of this puzzle. What do you guys think? Could revisiting this aspect of the case help in any way with finding out what happened to Tiwana?
