I've been going down the rabbit hole on Melanie Melanson's case, and something that's really puzzling is the role of the two boys who were reportedly the last to see her. Their accounts apparently conflicted about where and when they last saw her, which gets me thinking about how unreliable those initial statements were. You'd expect their stories to align if there was no foul play involved, right? It's unsettling to think that any detail they shared—or withheld—might have been crucial back when the investigation was just getting started. Were they just scared teenagers back then or could there have been something more? Curious if anyone else thinks this could be a big piece of the puzzle in her disappearance.
