Hey everyone, I've been diving deep into Curtis McCoy's case, and something that's been sticking with me is the timeline of events around his disappearance. With the vast amount of people that would have been shopping in downtown Newark right before Thanksgiving, it's puzzling to me how Curtis could have gone missing without any witnesses, or at least none that have come forward. Considering the bustling environment, I wonder if there have been any appeals over the years to try and trace potential witnesses who were there that day but maybe have since moved away or might not have realized the significance of what they saw. Does anyone know if the police or family ever did a media blast or public service announcements about this? It feels like that specific window of time is crucial, and there might be someone out there who observed something odd but never thought to report it back in '89. Thoughts?

Has anyone else been following the case of Curtis McCoy and noticed how intense the involvement of his father's girlfriend has been over the years? Her testimony was critical in the charges against Curtis Williams, yet I'm curious why it took so long for her to come forward. I mean, it's almost two decades after Curtis disappeared that she finally testified! What could have been her reason for staying silent for so long? Fear, perhaps? Or something else? It's intriguing to think about the dynamics within the household during that period. Would love to hear everyone else's thoughts on this angle.

I've been following Curtis McCoy's case for a while, and something that sticks out to me is the visibility of the area where he supposedly vanished. Downtown Newark is a bustling place, especially around the holidays. It's a bit baffling that no one saw anything, especially a young child wandering off. I wonder if there were any cameras in or around the shops at that time, though with it being the late '80s, I'm guessing security tech was pretty basic. It's strange to think that nobody remembers a two-year-old boy appearing lost or distressed. Also, were there any eyewitnesses that day? I know memories can fade or morph over time, but maybe someone saw something back then and didn't realize its significance. Anyway, it's a long shot, but I hope someday someone recalls a detail that finally brings some closure.
