I've been following the James Paulk case and can't stop thinking about how random and senseless this act of violence seems. The details about the gunman shooting through the door make it sound like something straight out of a nightmare. What's really been haunting me is why this attacker would shoot without even knowing who was behind the door. Was this a targeted attack or completely random? It just feels like there are so many layers we don't know about yet, and it's frustrating to see no arrests made after all this time. I'm just thinking about how terrifying it must have been for James Paulk and the other person at the house that morning.
