I've been thinking about the discovery of Todd Battaglino's boat and something just doesn't add up for me. The fact that the engine was still running and fishing lines were out makes me wonder what exactly happened in such a small window of time? It's as if he was just in the middle of a normal day of fishing and then... vanished. Has anyone else found it odd that there wasn't even a mayday call or anything like that? Someone experienced like Todd must've known the importance of staying in touch. Did the investigators ever mention if there was any sign of struggle on the boat or any personal items left behind? Just feels like there has to be more to this story that we’re missing. What do you all think?

I found the detail about Todd Battaglino's boat engine still running incredibly puzzling. It's almost as if he just vanished into thin air while actively fishing. Has anyone considered the possibility of a rogue wave or something similar taking him by surprise? It's unsettling to think about, but accidents do happen at sea. If he was leaning over to handle the lines, he might’ve lost balance. I know the search was extensive, but I wonder if the area has been affected by unusual sea currents around that time. Nature can be unpredictable, and even experienced boaters can get caught off guard. Just some thoughts to keep the discussion going.

Has anyone else been curious about the condition of Todd Battaglino's boat when the Coast Guard found it? I read that it was still adrift, engine running, and the fishing lines were out, which just feels odd to me. Why would Todd leave the engine running with the lines out unless he intended to be onboard? It's as if he was interrupted in the middle of fishing. Could there have been a sudden emergency that made him leave the boat without shutting everything down? Weather doesn't seem to be a factor mentioned in what I've read. It’s like he just vanished. Thoughts? Could it have anything to do with boating hazards out there, like debris or unexpected currents? I've always wondered how experienced boaters handle those situations.
