Does anyone else find it strange how Peggy Reiley's bicycle ended up 40 miles away at Philip Whaley's mother's house? I've been thinking about it, and it just doesn’t add up. If they truly parted ways that night, why would her bike be taken all the way to Pulaski? Either she had a reason we don’t know about, or it was transported there intentionally. It makes me wonder how involved Whaley's family might have been, knowingly or unknowingly. Was there any investigation into how exactly the bike got there? It's sad that, even with Whaley behind bars, there are still so many unanswered questions surrounding this case. Anyone have more insights or theories on why the bike was found there?
Hey everyone, I was reading up on Margaret "Peggy" Reiley's case and something about her blue ten-speed bicycle stood out to me. It's odd that her bike was found in a storage shed at Philip Whaley's mother's home, 40 miles away in Pulaski. Did Whaley think no one would connect the dots, or was there some reason he felt safe hiding it there?
Also, bicycles can be pretty noticeable, especially if neighbors saw him transporting it. I wonder if anyone around that area could recall seeing him with the bike during that timeframe. It's these little puzzle pieces that make me think some other evidence could still be out there, possibly missed or overlooked. Does anyone know if anyone living near Whaley’s mom’s house was ever questioned at the time? It feels like there might be more witnesses or leads from that area that could've helped back then. Would love to hear anyone's thoughts or info on this!
Did anyone else find it odd that Peggy’s bike was found in Whaley's mom's shed? I mean, if they supposedly parted ways, why would her bike be there of all places? It doesn’t add up. It feels like he was trying to hide something, especially when he changed his story after the bike was discovered. Also, the fact that a drop of her blood was found in his trailer is super suspicious. It just makes me wonder if there could be any other evidence out there that we don’t know about, especially since finding her remains could bring more closure to her family. It’s been so long, but maybe there’s still hope of uncovering something new.
