Hey everyone, I’ve been reviewing Jorge Acosta’s case and noticed the term “endangered runaway” quite often in missing person reports, and Jorge’s case is no exception. I wonder if there might be a reason authorities have classified it this way, especially considering he was only 12. Could an assumption of running away impact how a case is investigated? It worries me that potential leads might have been overlooked if they assumed he left voluntarily. Also, how common is it for kids his age to be labeled as runaways without concrete evidence? Any thoughts or similar cases you've come across that later turned out differently?
