Hey folks, I was reading about Leroy Gordon's unsolved case from Akron back in '73, and something really struck me. It's the lack of movement in the case even after nearly five decades. How does something like that happen? Was the investigation at the time thorough enough, or did it fall through the cracks? I can't imagine the anguish his family must feel each day without answers. With the Ohio BCI trying to shine a spotlight on his story again, I'm curious if there's anyone here familiar with the Akron area who might have more insights on what the neighborhood dynamics were like back then? Were Bluff and Summit Streets known for being particularly dangerous or was there something specific that might've led to such a tragic event happening there? I hope by keeping this discussion going, we're helping in some small way to affirm that Leroy is not forgotten. Maybe, just maybe, someone will remember something that can finally help bring some answers and justice to his family. Take care, everyone, and thanks for any input or info you can share.
