I’ve been thinking a lot about how this case unfolded and keep coming back to the role that Newell's family played in unraveling the truth. It must have been incredibly difficult for them to come forward, especially knowing it was their own flesh and blood. But at the end of the day, their courage helped bring closure to the Mullins family, which is something to be deeply respected. Also, it’s heartbreaking to consider how different things might have been if the initial investigation had been handled correctly. It makes me wonder how many other cases might have gone unsolved or been misdirected due to similar errors or assumptions. I hope this case serves as a lesson for future investigations. Sending thoughts and support to everyone affected by this tragic story.
