I've been following Anita Lias's case for a while and recently found myself reflecting on how Donna, her best friend from high school, must have felt when she heard the news. They shared so many memories together: track meets, weekend hangouts, the laughter of two teenagers navigating life. I can only imagine the shock of losing someone so close in such a devastating way. It's heart-wrenching to think about the impact on Anita’s friends and how it might have changed the course of their lives. This whole community lost someone who was not only a talented athlete but a beloved friend and classmate. I truly hope that with advancements in forensic technology, something can finally come to light to give everyone a sense of justice and peace.
