Has anyone else looked into the timeline discrepancies around John Cheek’s disappearance? I recently came across a detail in an old newspaper article that mentioned a strange sighting of a man fitting John's description at a diner in Missouri just days after he vanished. It's often overlooked, but what if that's significant? The sightings in Virginia seem to be the main focus, but Missouri isn’t too far off if he was moving around. Given his reported mental state, it's possible he might have traveled far from Memphis without realizing it. Could it be that a broader search area might have been needed, or maybe this slipped through due to the focus on the Mississippi River theory? Has anyone done a deeper dive into these lesser-talked-about sightings? It's been decades, and any overlooked lead could be vital. Thoughts?
