I'm intrigued by the disappearance of William Alfred Higgins in '69. One angle that's been on my mind is the old Chevy truck he was last seen driving. It's odd that it’s never turned up in all these years, isn't it? A '55 Chevy truck isn't exactly inconspicuous, and I wonder if anyone ever looked into whether it might have been sold or re-registered somewhere else. Could it have been scrapped or hidden away deliberately? If it was a case of him skipping town, I’d think the truck could have left a paper trail. Given how sentimental some people get over classic vehicles, maybe someone out there remembers something about that truck and just hasn't connected the dots yet. Anyone here familiar with how vehicle tracking worked back then?

Has anyone looked into the rumor about William Alfred Higgins possibly relocating to Florida? I came across a few old newspaper articles mentioning the possibility, but nothing concrete was discussed. It's strange how leads can sometimes point in a completely different direction, and yet the story goes cold. If he did move there, it might explain why his truck was never found locally. Plus, if he was trying to avoid something, like child support, it makes me wonder if he tried to start a new life elsewhere. On another note, did anyone ever look into whether he left any friends or connections in Florida who might remember him showing up around that time? Would love to hear what others think or know about this angle!
