Has anyone else found it odd that Mary's small revolver is missing along with her purse? It's one of those details that sticks out like a sore thumb. It seems like an unusual item to bring along if she had just decided to leave on her own, doesn't it? Especially since everything else seemed normal—house locked, porch light on, car left at home. Could she have felt threatened and taken it for protection, or did someone else take it to stage a scene or cover their tracks? I'm really curious about the police's take on this, but it’s frustrating that we haven’t heard much about their theories regarding the missing gun. This case just keeps bringing up more questions than answers.
I've been diving deep into Mary Carol Hill-Frederick’s case and something about the locked house and porch light being on keeps nagging at me. It doesn't feel random. It's as if Mary planned to return shortly or wanted to create the impression that she was home. Based on what I've read, Mary seemed like the kind of person who meticulously structured her day, especially with her new law school commitments. Why would someone with such careful habits leave suddenly without taking her car, but then not return?
Also, the missing purse and revolver puzzle me. If Mary was meeting someone she trusted, would she have brought a gun? Could this indicate she felt threatened or that she anticipated possible danger? But then, why take the purse and not the car? There's got to be a clue in understanding the context of these actions. Given that her husband and son were away, did someone exploit that knowledge? Thoughts on this would be appreciated. Would love to hear more theories or similar cases anyone knows about where items being taken pointed towards critical clues!
