Hey everyone,
I've been diving into the Jessie Smith case from 1977, and I can't stop thinking about how tragic it is that someone could be taken from this world in such a violent way with no answers after all these years. I stumbled upon some news clippings from back then, and it struck me how little coverage it seemed to get outside the local news. I wonder if that lack of attention affected the investigation or if it somehow caused vital clues or witness accounts to get lost over time. It makes me think about how much the families suffer when their loved ones' stories fade from public memory. It seems crucial that we keep discussing cases like Jessie's to keep that hope alive for those who knew him. Columbus PD is still asking for tips, and I genuinely hope one day someone comes forward to share something they know. Every little detail might help. Thoughts?
Hoping for closure,

Has anyone come across any updates or tips about Jessie Smith's case on Atcheson Street? I was reading about it again today, and it really bothers me how cold cases like this can go so long without justice for the victims and their families. Five gunshot wounds... it's just so brutal and seems so personal, right? I wonder if there was anyone in his life who might have had a grudge or something. It’s baffling how there are no suspects even after all these years. Maybe someone out there knows something — even the smallest detail could be the missing piece. If anyone has heard anything new or has ideas on how the community might help, please share. It would be amazing if we could help bring some closure to his family after all this time.
