I've been thinking a lot about the witness who heard the crash and the young man's voice at the scene. It's chilling to imagine being in that situation, hearing the collision, and then the panic in the voices afterward. I can't help but wonder how that witness must feel, carrying such a vivid memory of that night. It must be incredibly difficult knowing you might hold a key piece of information, yet still be unable to bring closure to Carol’s loved ones.
That description of a young male, teens to early 20s, stuck with me. Considering the age of those involved, it's possible they were from the area, maybe even someone others knew. It was such a tragic, reckless action, and it seems unlikely that the driver hasn't shared their burden with someone over the years. I really hope anyone with even the slightest detail, something that seems insignificant, comes forward after all this time. Carol was so young and had her whole life ahead of her. Her friends and family deserve answers and peace.
Has anyone else been looking into the vehicle descriptions in Carol Gandelman's case? I'm puzzled by the details reported by witnesses. A large green American car with square-shaped lights sounds pretty distinctive for 1979. Would this have been a common vehicle type back then? I'm wondering if it could help narrow down the possibilities of the make and model.
It's just so infuriating that nobody has come forward with any solid leads after all these years, especially considering how noticeable that car must have been. I feel terrible for Carol's family and friends, not having closure all this time. It’s a small hope, but maybe someone out there remembers an odd detail that could finally put the pieces together on this. Stay strong, everyone.
