Has anyone else been following the case of Michael Banks? It's such a terrible loss for his family and friends. I can't help but think about what an awful situation it must be for them, not knowing who is responsible. I've been reading how the community in East Oakland is often tight-lipped, but I hope someone finds the courage to come forward with information. It's so frustrating when these tragedies happen, and they go unsolved because of fear. We can only hope that, eventually, justice will be served not only for Michael but also for all the victims of the violence affecting the Oakland area. How is everybody coping with the ongoing issue of gang violence in their communities?
