I was reading through some old cases and got really intrigued by the disappearance of Jason and Kenford back in '97. Has anyone else looked into how experienced they were with desert hikes or crystal hunting? I'm wondering if maybe one of them was more familiar with the terrain or if they were just winging it that day. The fact that they split up is definitely concerning, especially considering how tricky the desert can be if you're not used to it. I hope someone might have more insight into their level of experience or if any search strategies took that into account.
