Just stumbled upon Gareld Dixon’s case from 1981. It’s incredibly tragic that it's still unsolved after all these years. What's been nagging at me is the location—Windsor Ave and Wentworth Rd. Does anyone know if this area was considered particularly dangerous at the time? It seems like an unusual spot for something like this to happen, unless it was maybe a robbery gone wrong? Such a heartbreaking situation for Gareld’s family to have no answers after all this time. If anyone has any historical insight into that neighborhood during the early '80s, it might help piece together why Gareld found himself in such a vulnerable situation. Thoughts and theories welcome!
Has anyone thought about the head injury that Gareld Dixon had sustained besides the gunshot wounds? I know it's clear he was shot twice, but that significant head injury makes me wonder if there was a struggle before the shooting or if it was part of the attack. It seems like a strange detail that might be crucial to understanding what really happened that night. Could it have been a fall, or was there something more? I can't imagine the pain and trauma his family must have gone through all these years not knowing exactly what happened to him.
