I've been going through old articles and stumbled upon the case of Joseph Batiste, who was killed in Akron, Ohio, way back in 1981. It's truly baffling how more than four decades later, there's still no resolution or justice for Joseph and his loved ones. Summit County must have changed so much since then, yet this tragic loss remains a painful mystery. One thing I can't help but wonder about is the potential witnesses from that era and the impact of time on their memories. Akron was a smaller community back then, and maybe someone saw or heard something but didn’t realize its significance at the time. It's a long shot, but it's never too late for someone to come forward with a crucial piece of information, even if it seems insignificant. To anyone from that area or anyone who knew Joseph, anything you remember might make all the difference. It's frustrating to think how many cold cases like Joseph’s are still waiting for the pieces to come together. I hope sharing and talking about these cases can keep the hope alive for the families seeking answers. Does anyone have any insights or thoughts on what might help bring fresh attention to Joseph's case?
