Hey everyone,
I’ve been following the Frankie Little Jr. case, and one part that really puzzles me is how his disappearance seemed to slip through the cracks for so many years. It’s so odd that someone with Frankie’s background—a musician with The O'Jays, a well-known R&B group—could vanish and remain unidentified for decades. How does a person with connections in the music world just disappear without a trace?
Did people just assume he wanted to go off the grid, or did the transient nature of the music industry at the time contribute to his slipping into anonymity? Maybe he was trying to start fresh, and sadly, it led to tragic circumstances. My thoughts are with his family, who probably had to deal with so many unanswered questions over the years. Hopefully, this new attention will light up the path to justice for Frankie.
Curious to hear what you all think, especially less talked-about angles or similar cases where someone in the public eye went missing without much notice.
Stay safe, everyone.
Has anyone else been struck by the fact that Frankie's remains went unidentified for almost 40 years? It's almost unimaginable to think about how much time passed without his loved ones knowing what really happened to him. I can't begin to fathom the agony his family must have endured during those decades of not knowing. The thought that he was right there in Twinsburg all along is haunting. It makes me wonder about the people who might have known something back then. Could someone have kept a secret all these years? I hope the attention through the DNA breakthrough encourages anyone with information to come forward. Knowing what happened could finally bring some measure of peace to those who knew and cared about him. My thoughts are with his family and everyone who remembers Frankie, the man and his music.
I recently discovered the case of Frankie Little Jr., and it’s truly haunting to think about the life he led and how it ended so violently. Something that really struck me was the time gap between when he went missing and when his remains were identified. For nearly 40 years, Frankie's family was left in the dark, not knowing what happened to their loved one. It also made me think about how many families must be going through a similar kind of agonizing uncertainty.
The fact that modern technology, like genealogical research, was key to finally identifying him is incredible and shows how far we've come in cold case investigations. I can't help but wonder about those crucial years after Frankie left The O'Jays—what was he doing, and who was he with? How did his journey take him all the way to Twinsburg, and what led to such a brutal end? The discovery of his body must have been shocking for the employees at that machine shop too. It’s unsettling to imagine making such a find during a routine day at work.
I really feel for Frankie’s family and hope that the Twinsburg Police Department can uncover more about what happened to him with these new techniques. They deserve answers, and it’s a comfort to know the investigation isn’t over. Let’s hope justice can be served, and that his story helps shine a light on other unsolved cases out there.
