I've always been puzzled by the case of Jin S. Chin and his mysterious disappearance. What gets me is the condition of the *Formosa*. From what I've read, the boat was found with its engine still running and gear untouched, which makes me wonder—was there some kind of foul play involved? I mean, if it were a tragic accident, wouldn’t there be signs like damaged equipment or personal belongings scattered around? It seems unusual for someone with his experience to just vanish like that. Anyone else have thoughts on why the boat was found in such an orderly state?

Has anyone looked into weather conditions on the day Jin S. Chin went missing? I know the boat was found without any signs of capsizing, but maritime weather can be unpredictable. Maybe there were rough patches or unexpected currents that could've affected him? I've read about cases where sudden squalls or rogue waves hit smaller boats, causing issues even if the vessel doesn’t appear damaged afterward. It's strange that the engine was still running, which argues against a mechanical failure, but maybe the weather had some role to play here. Would love to hear if anyone has more info on the weather that day or insights into how it might have impacted his trip.

Has anyone else been curious about the weather conditions the day Jin Chin went missing? It seems critical to understanding what might have happened out there. Was it stormy, foggy, or unusually calm? I've tried digging through some old reports and couldn't find much detail. A clear weather day would make his disappearance even stranger, considering he was an experienced boater. Just trying to piece together what could have caused his boat to simply be drifting like that. Does anyone have more info or thoughts on what the weather might have been like that day?
