I've been following the Peggy Anne Sweeten case for a while, and something about James's behavior has always struck me as odd. Why would he wait five months to report her missing? ? I mean, filing for divorce just three weeks after she supposedly vanished seems suspicious to me. Has anyone found out more about his activities or whereabouts in the days immediately following her disappearance? It just feels like there are more layers to this story, especially given the affair he was having. I can't shake the feeling that the timing of everything was too convenient. Would love to hear more theories or any info on whether local law enforcement is actively pursuing this angle.
Has anyone else found it strange how James didn't report Peggy missing for five months? I mean, that's an awfully long time. I can't wrap my head around how he could explain that away. Even if they were having issues, you'd think there'd be some concern after a week or two, let alone months. Not to mention he went on to marry someone else so quickly afterward. Usually, when someone vanishes, family insists on an immediate search, right? It feels like there's a huge part of this puzzle missing. Anyone have any thoughts or theories on why he might've waited so long?
I'm curious if anyone else finds it strange how long it took James to report Peggy missing. Five months is an awfully long time for anyone to not notice their spouse is gone, especially when living under the same roof. The fact that he quickly filed for divorce just weeks after she supposedly left raises even more questions in my mind. Combine that with the affair he was having, and it all just seems too convenient, doesn't it?
The thing that gets me is how Peggy left behind all her stuff. If she was really planning to leave him for someone she met online, wouldn't she at least take her car or some clothes? It's almost like she expected to come back. And then there's the matter of the shed he built. You'd think with modern technology, they would've found something by now.
I wonder if anyone who's familiar with this case has more info on Peggy’s internet usage—or lack thereof. It’d be interesting to know if any friends saw her using emails or chats, or if it was really just a smoke screen. Maybe someone out there remembers something that'll finally shed light on where she went.
