Does anyone else think the location where Charles Hawkins’ truck was found could be significant? I’ve been going over the case details and wondering why his pickup was left abandoned in a desert arroyo. Given his background in agriculture, maybe it’s a place he was familiar with or visited for work purposes. Did he go there willingly, or was he forced? It’s hard not to wonder if there might’ve been something about that specific spot that either drew him in or was used to intentionally keep him hidden. It’s vague, but sometimes revisiting the scene with local knowledge in mind might lead to new insights. Anyone from the area have thoughts on whether the arroyo could hold any significance?
I've been following the Charles Hawkins case with great interest, and something that’s been on my mind is the role of the locked truck in his disappearance. What strikes me as odd is the effort to lock the truck before abandoning it in the arroyo. If Hawkins was in a state of distress, would he have thought to secure the vehicle like that? It makes me wonder: was this possibly a deliberate move to make it harder for others to understand or trace what really happened to him? Or could someone else have locked the truck? Just a thought, but it feels like there’s more to this detail than meets the eye. Any insights or theories on why the truck was locked?
