Has anyone looked into the possibility of any nearby construction or land development projects around the time Donald Fortson went missing? Sometimes changes in the landscape can reveal clues or evidence that might have been overlooked. I remember reading about cases where old wells or newly developed areas uncovered significant findings years after a person disappeared. Given that Fortson lived in a rural area, I wonder if maybe something like this could have played a role in why nothing has been found. Just a thought, but it might be worth checking if any such developments have happened in that area since 1998. Perhaps a local resident or someone with knowledge of the area's history could chime in?

I’ve been digging into the details of Donald Fortson's disappearance, and something that keeps catching my attention is the area where he lived. Blount County is pretty remote, and I can't help but think about the challenges it might have posed for search teams back in 1998. Thick woods, difficult terrain – it's no wonder they struggled to find any trace of him. Does anyone local have any insight into how the landscape might have changed over the years? I'm curious if modern search efforts would be more successful now, given the technology and expertise at our disposal. It's puzzling that they found no evidence at all, and I wonder if anyone else shares the theory that the rural setting played a bigger role in his disappearance than initially thought.
