Does anyone remember if there was ever a statement from the neighbors or anyone living nearby around the time of James Tenney's murder back in 1985? I know it's been decades, but sometimes folks remember little details that might help. It's so gripping to think of the family left without answers all these years. I hope someone out there might have a piece of the puzzle. It's tough to see cases like this go unresolved for so long, especially when communities often have more information than they realize. Even a quiet neighborhood can hold secrets. If anyone remembers hearing anything back then, no matter how insignificant it might seem, it could be worth sharing with Dayton PD. Maybe we can be of some help in finally giving his family the closure they deserve.
March 25, 2023 marks 38 years since the tragic loss of James LeRoy Tenney in Dayton, and his story still resonates with many of us who follow cold cases. I'm always struck by how personal these cases feel, especially when justice has yet to be served. I read recently that James was memorialized at Trissel Cemetery, and I can only imagine the pain for his family and friends who visit, still seeking answers. It’s a stark reminder of the urgency for new information to come to light.
The community of Dayton has a real part to play in keeping these older cases in the public eye. With the case number 610 having been highlighted by the Ohio Attorney General's Office, I truly hope someone, somewhere remembers something that can bring closure to this case. Every tip counts, so if you've heard even a whisper from over the years, now is the time to speak up. My thoughts are with those who knew James and continue to hope for a resolution.
