Hey everyone, I was just reading about Juanita Jean Nelson's case and something caught my attention that I hadn't thought of before. I keep wondering about the former friend who allegedly confessed to two people about killing her. Isn't it odd that they claimed to have all this information, yet a thorough search of the area didn't yield any results? It makes me think about how tricky those mountains can be for searching, but also about what the acquaintances might have really known. Sometimes people exaggerate, but on the other hand, if they had some motive or pressure to keep quiet, it might explain the lack of concrete evidence. I'm curious if anyone else has theories about these acquaintances and their role in how the confession came out. Would love to hear your thoughts!

I've been following Juanita Jean Nelson's case for some time, and a thought crossed my mind about the search efforts. Given the rough terrain of the Santa Cruz Mountains, would it have been possible for search teams to miss evidence even if they were close by? Being several months pregnant might have made her targets more vulnerable to foul play, but I can't help but wonder if the landscape might have swallowed up vital clues. It's frustrating knowing how many potential tips have likely gone unfollowed due to the tricky nature of searching such an area. It makes me wish there could be a fresh set of searches with today's technology. Anyone else feel this way?
