Hey all, I recently came across the tragic case of the Hartney family from Akron, Ohio, and it's been weighing heavily on my mind. It breaks my heart to think about how this family—Carrie and her two young children, Pamela and Benjamin—were taken from this world so suddenly and senselessly in 1989. The fact that the fire was set intentionally and no one has been held accountable yet is just appalling. One thing I've been thinking about is how the investigators have handled the evidence over the years. Does anyone know if they've been able to preserve any physical evidence from the scene that might benefit from new forensic technology? In some cold cases, advancements in DNA testing or other forensic tools have made a huge difference. It would be great to hear that they're considering all available options to finally bring closure to the family and friends who have been waiting for justice all these years. I really hope someone out there comes forward with new information. Carrie and her children deserve answers, and those responsible need to be brought to justice. Sending love to the Hartney family and everyone who's been affected by this tragedy. <3
