Did anyone else find it odd how quickly Marcus's apartment was cleared out? I mean, for strangers to just come in and clean the place shortly after his disappearance seems super suspicious to me. It makes me wonder if someone wanted to get rid of evidence or if there was more going on behind the scenes. Plus, if Ellison was the last person to report Marcus missing, why isn't there more emphasis on what he might know or where he went? It's frustrating that there seem to be these loose ends in the investigation, and yet no clear answers. Maybe there’s more to the roommate angle than we’re aware of? Thoughts?
Did anyone else see that recent documentary on identity theft cases? It immediately brought Marcus Barrell’s disappearance to mind. It’s so frustrating that Ellison remains untraceable after all these years. It's odd that he was the one who reported Marcus missing but then disappeared himself. Could this be more than a coincidence? It got me thinking about how many people actually knew Marcus and Carl’s living situation. Could there have been something else going on at that apartment? It's chilling to think that someone Marcus barely knew could have so drastically altered his life (and ultimately his identity) without anyone noticing for a while. Still holding onto hope for answers someday.
Has anyone else looked into Marcus's connection with Troy Baudoin? The identity theft aspect of this case seems fishy to me. I've been digging around, and it's odd how Baudoin was able to get away with using Marcus's name for months. How was he able to secure employment and buy property without raising any red flags? It makes me wonder if there were more people involved or if there was a bigger scheme at play. Also, the fact that Baudoin took his own life complicates things even more. Could it be that he was under pressure from someone else, or was he trying to escape a darker involvement in Marcus's disappearance? Just speculating here, but I wonder if the police are looking into any other contacts Baudoin might have had. Would love to hear other perspectives!
