Has anyone else been following the case of Anthony "Danny" Medearis? I recently read about his disappearance and I can't stop thinking about how he was last seen miles away in Potosi. It's so puzzling to me. How did he get there? Did someone give him a ride or was he just walking the whole way? It’s really strange that there’s no trace of him after the convenience store sighting. And with his medical condition, it’s alarming that his trail just goes cold. I wonder if anyone from Potosi remembers seeing him that day—sometimes small details can unlock the whole mystery. If anyone here is local to the area or has more info, please share your insights. Keep spreading the word, guys!
I’ve been following Danny Medearis's case for a while now, and something keeps puzzling me about the sightings, or lack thereof, between Bismarck and Potosi. They’re quite a distance apart. If he was on foot, how did he get from the care center to the convenience store miles away? Did anyone see him hitchhiking, or did someone give him a ride? I wonder if anyone has checked local taxis or talked to bus drivers from that morning. It’s also strange to me that he was known to be a chain smoker but didn’t have cigarettes on him. Could he have approached someone for a smoke and gotten a ride that way? Also, they mentioned a patch over his eye due to a medical condition – that seems like something memorable that could jog someone’s memory if they saw him. It’s so hard to believe there’s been no significant lead all these years. Anyone else have thoughts on potential modes of transportation he might have used that day?
I've been following the Anthony Medearis case for a while now, and something that's always puzzled me is the detail about him not having any cigarettes on him when he disappeared. Given that Medearis was a chain smoker, it's odd that he'd head out for a walk without one of his usual packs.
I'm curious if anyone else thinks that this might suggest he was planning to return or maybe even meet someone who could lend him some. Since he was last seen in Potosi at the convenience store, I wonder if he went there hoping to buy cigarettes, only to face unexpected circumstances.
Also, has there been any talk of security footage from that convenience store? This might have provided much-needed clues to piece together his movements right before he vanished. If anyone's local to the area or knows more about what was available at that store in 2002, it’d be great to hear your thoughts.
