I’ve been following Eduardo Gaspar Masoller's case, and one detail that keeps puzzling me is why Hernandez was allowed to leave the country after serving time for theft-related charges. Considering the violent evidence from Eduardo’s condo and Hernandez’s possession of his belongings, it seems like there was enough to keep him for further questioning. Maybe the focus should have been more on the international collaboration angle once it was clear they were heading to El Salvador? I know extradition can be tricky, but it's frustrating to think how these hurdles might have stalled the case. Anyone here have insights on how these kinds of international law issues get navigated, or if there have been similar cases that managed to overcome them? Hoping that by keeping the discussion alive, we can keep the pressure on resolving this.

Has anyone here been following the Eduardo Gaspar Masoller case from 2005? I was just thinking about the odd choice of Ocean City as the location for the crime. Why did Hernandez and Romero feel like it was the right place to potentially get away with something like this? I mean, they drove all the way from Springfield, Virginia to Ocean City, which isn't exactly a short trip. It makes me wonder if there was a specific reason for this location other than work. Was it just a matter of convenience because they were working there, or did they believe the area had some advantage for committing the crime and disposing of a body? Ocean City's proximity to the water and various secluded areas might have played a role, but I'm curious if anyone else sees some significance here. Thoughts?
