Hey everyone, I recently came across Steven Williams' case from 1993 and couldn't shake the thought about the community's response—or seeming lack thereof. I mean, it's been over 30 years, and I wonder if there were people who saw something that night but were just too afraid to speak up. That area around Burnet Avenue was undergoing changes back then, and it got me thinking about how communities can sometimes harbor unspoken secrets. Were there rumors or whispered conversations that never made it to the police out of fear or mistrust? It's disheartening to think a killer could have walked away that night and vanished into silence. I'm hoping that with time, maybe someone’s conscience will find the courage to come forward. Every little detail helps, and bringing peace to Steven's family would mean so much. Would love to hear your thoughts if you're familiar with how communities like that were in the early '90s.
