Hey everyone. I've been following Donald Messier's case and something that's been bugging me is the location where they found his truck. For those familiar with the Waitsfield area, how likely is it that someone could end up in the Winooski River without anyone noticing for years? I mean, the truck was submerged for over a decade without a trace. Is that part of the river particularly secluded or difficult to access? Just trying to wrap my head around how the vehicle stayed hidden for so long. Those who know the area, what do you think? Any input could help piece together what might have happened that night.
Hey folks, I’m just wondering if anyone here has looked into any possible sightings of Donald Messier after the night he was last seen. I know it’s been years since he disappeared, but sometimes people claim they've seen someone long after they initially vanished, and I haven’t come across any mention of that in what I’ve read.
His disappearance is so puzzling, especially with his truck found but no trace of him. Him dealing with depression could mean he was trying to get away or start fresh somewhere, but without any solid evidence, it’s just frustratingly ambiguous. Also, how did the truck end up in the river without anyone noticing for so long? Was it really a lonely, accidental situation, or is there more to it that we’re missing?
I’d love to hear any thoughts or info if anyone’s been investigating or has ties to the area. Let’s keep digging and hope we can piece together some of this mysterious puzzle.
Has anyone else looked into the location where Donald Messier's truck was found in the Winooski River? I visited the area once, and it struck me how it's not a usual spot you'd end up at accidentally. The riverbank there isn’t easily accessible, which makes me wonder if there's more to the story than we know. Could someone have forced him off the road, or did he deliberately drive down there? I’m also curious about the water level at the time he disappeared—could heavy rain or high water have been a factor in hiding his truck for so many years? There are just so many questions about how it ended up there and how it wasn't spotted sooner. Would love to hear others’ thoughts on the terrain and what it might suggest about the night he vanished.
