Thomas J. Hearn, 50, was last seen on March 12, 2007, in Aldan, Pennsylvania, when he failed to pick up his young child from school. He was a self-employed automobile wholesaler and the oldest of eight children. Investigators found his apartment on North Clifton Avenue with his car and wallet still inside, but his cell phone was missing and its records show it was turned off or the battery died shortly after he was last seen.
Thomas was insulin-dependent, requiring daily injections, and family members said he had been dealing with personal challenges though they did not believe he was depressed. There was an outstanding warrant for failure to pay child support. His left knee was badly injured from a prior car crash, and friends noted a strong resemblance to actor Tom Selleck in his Magnum, P.I. era. Police examined his phone records and report no evidence of foul play; the investigation remains open.
If anyone in Aldan or the surrounding area remembers Thomas or saw him around March 12, 2007, please come forward with information.
