Hi all, I’ve been looking into the Victoria Jane Collins case for a bit, and one aspect that really caught my attention is the impact of advancements in DNA technology. It's incredible to think about how this technology has been pivotal in connecting Legg to Victoria’s case, among others, after so many years. It’s a sobering reminder of how some families have to endure decades without answers. Thankfully, science is finally starting to catch up with these monsters. I can only imagine how it must feel for her family to finally know what happened, even though it must re-open old wounds. It emphasizes the importance of cold case investigations and the dedication of agencies working on cases like this. Seeing the collaboration between different states and departments makes me hopeful that more cold cases can find a resolution, offering some measure of peace to those who lost loved ones. I find myself thinking a lot about the victims and their families—how their lives were impacted by the lack of justice for so long, and how crucial it is for us to keep supporting advancements that can bring closure. It’s a painful but important step forward in making sure their stories are not forgotten. What are everyone’s thoughts on the progress of similar cold cases? Would love to discuss. Stay safe, everyone.
