Aaron Wayne Titus's murder is yet another reminder of the struggle against gun violence that continues to plague Oakland. It’s especially sad to think of his family and the battles they still face in their pursuit of justice. I wonder how frustrating it must be for them, not knowing who is responsible or why this happened. It's so crucial that communities come together in times like these, even when fear of retaliation might keep people silent. Has there been any effort to foster better relationships between law enforcement and the community in that area since this happened? Building trust could be the key to encouraging people to share what they know without feeling at risk themselves. It’s frustrating to see cases like this go unsolved and painful to think of the potential closure his loved ones are missing out on. If there's anything more we can do to support victims’ families, I hope we’ll all step up.
