It's been so long since Andonios disappeared, but I keep coming back to this case every few months hoping there's been news. One thing I've always wondered: has there ever been any update on whether Despoina had any significant connections in Greece? I've read through various threads over time, and I know the authorities assumed she took him there because of her Greek roots, but did she have family or friends who could have helped her?
Considering how global communication and travel are these days, maintaining such a low profile for so long seems like it would require some serious support. I can't imagine how hard this must be for Andonios' father, knowing his child could be anywhere. It's such a difficult case, and despite the years that have passed, I hope fresh insights or technology might eventually shed some light. Anyone else have any thoughts or updates about Despoina's possible ties in Greece?
Hey everyone, I’ve been following Andonios Petroutsas’s case for a while, and something struck me as really odd. Considering Despoina might have taken him to Greece, wouldn't there have been some kind of trail or tip-off from their travel? Like, airlines or border crossings usually have systems to flag missing persons, right? I know it was 2010, but that’s not exactly the dark ages in terms of technology. It makes me wonder if either she had help or maybe used a less conventional travel method. What do you all think? Could she have managed to leave without leaving a digital footprint, or is it possible someone looked the other way? Curious to hear what others think or if anyone has insights on how these things usually get investigated internationally.
Has anyone looked into the international travel records during that time? With Andonios and Despoina possibly leaving the U.S. for Greece, there might be some documentation or patterns that could help piece things together. Maybe passenger lists or passport controls could reveal more? It's tough since international borders don't always share info easily, but it's worth exploring if that's not been done yet. Every little piece of information counts, and even the smallest oversight could lead to new hope or answers for George and the rest of their family. What are the usual procedures in situations like this where a parent might've taken a child to a different country? Could there have been anything missed in the initial investigation regarding this?
