Has anyone looked into possible sightings of Linda or Stephen at the World's Fair in Spokane? It's puzzling how they just vanished after being in touch from Stinson Beach. I know it's a long shot since the disappearance took place so many years ago, but maybe someone who visited the fair back then could recall seeing them. It seems like such an important part of their travel plans, and maybe someone snapped a photo or something at the fair that could help? Given how busy and packed the World's Fair must have been, if they made it there, there’s got to be a chance, however slim, that someone noticed them. Would love to hear any thoughts or theories you might have about this.
Has anyone else noticed how many traveler disappearances occurred in the '70s, especially along the West Coast? I was looking into Linda Lovell and Stephen Packard's case, and it struck me how common it was for young people to hitchhike back then. Do you think this was just a sign of the times, or was there possibly an unrecognized risk along that particular route? It's puzzling that travelers like them could go missing without leaving much behind. Curious to hear if anyone knows of similar cases from that era and area, or has theories on what might have happened to Linda and Stephen.
Hey everyone, I just can’t stop thinking about the postcards Linda and Stephen sent from Stinson Beach. It feels significant that these were the last confirmed communications before they vanished. It makes me wonder - did they seem upbeat, relaxed, or maybe worried in those postcards? I’ve read that sometimes writing can offer insights into someone’s state of mind. Has anyone come across the actual content of these postcards? It might be nothing, but I feel like they could hold clues about what they were experiencing on their journey. What do you all think?
