In the early morning hours of September 29, 2007, a life was tragically cut short on a street in the nation's capital. Marcel Banks, a 30-year-old African-American man, was fatally stabbed at approximately 1:42 a.m. in the unit block of K Street NW in Washington, D.C. The wound, inflicted to his chest, proved to be fatal, and a vibrant life was extinguished in a moment of violence.
